Center for Driver's License Recovery and Employability
Posted on 4/24/07
Description
This community resource is the first of its kind in Milwaukee
County to assist low income residents on a referral basis
only in recovering their driver’s licenses, eliminating
a major barrier to employment.
The Center for Driver's License Recovery and Employability
is a comprehensive collaborative effort to reduce the numbers
of unlicensed drivers in Milwaukee County through the establishment
and operation of a community-wide driver's license recovery
and employability resource center in Milwaukee.
Process
1) A triage intake unit decides if the case is easy, needs
support, or is too difficult to resolve;
2) Case manager support and community service supervision

4) Indigence fund is available to some to help very poor individuals
take the last step to recovering their licenses.
